At Belle Fourche Elementary, we are committed to helping every student become confident and successful. That’s why we’re proud to use Lexia and Reflex. Lexia is a trusted literacy program that provides personalized support for each child—whether they’re building foundational skills or advancing their reading abilities. It also gives our teachers valuable tools and real-time data to better meet each student’s needs. The Reflex program helps students build math fact fluency through engaging, game-based learning. With built-in assessment, coaching, and practice, students get the individualized support they need while having fun. Because Reflex adapts to each learner, it helps every student grow in confidence and be ready for more complex math.
During our monthly student assemblies, we will be recognizing both individual students and classes for their achievements in both of these programs. Whether they’ve reached their goals or gone above and beyond, we want to celebrate their hard work, growth, and commitment to learning.
We’re proud of our students and can’t wait to highlight their accomplishments each month!
The classes showing the most progress on Lexia earn the honor of hosting a Buster the Bronc stuffed mascot in their classroom for the month, and each student receives personalized stickers.
September's leading classes are:
Kindergarten-Mrs. Gubbrud's class
1st Grade-Mrs. Chaska's class
2nd Grade-Ms. Clark's class
3rd Grade-Ms. Scott's class
4th Grade-Mrs. Janovy's class
When students from all grade levels meet their individual weekly goals on Lexia, their names are entered into a drawing for a special prize.
September’s winners are: Brylee Barrera, Audrey Scott, and Sterling Abraham.
Students are also celebrated for their achievements in Reflex through the 100% Club.
To earn a place in the club, 1st- and 2nd-grade students must reach 100% fluency in addition and subtraction, while 3rd- and 4th-grade students must achieve 100% fluency in multiplication and division.
This month, we proudly recognize the following student for joining the 100% Club: Haillie Pottorff
Congratulations to all of our hardworking students for their outstanding accomplishments this month!
Your dedication, growth, and enthusiasm for learning continue to inspire our entire school community. Whether you achieved fluency goals, made strong progress, or earned special recognition, each success reflects your effort and determination. We are proud of every one of you—keep up the amazing work!
