On Tuesday, February 3rd Belle Fourche took 18 welders to Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) to their annual Weld to Win Welding Competition. Belle Fourche students took 6 of the top 10 places at the competition. This was a great day, and I could not be any prouder of these young men and women. Belle Fourche is turning out some very skilled young men and women welders. WDTC instructors are impressed as to how many young lady welders Belle Fourche is bringing to their competition and the skill level they have.  WDTC instructor Troy Barry said “Between Ayse and now your group this year you guys are producing some skilled young women.” Ayse would be Ayseluna Hockenbary, a 2023 BFHS graduate, who has won welding competitions for WDTC in SkillsUSA. She place 4th at Nationals and made it through the first round of the SkillsUSA World competition.
