It’s time for our next Teacher of the Week Spotlight, we are excited to celebrate another amazing educator who goes above and beyond for our school every single day!
This week, we are proud to recognize... Mr. Clarkson! This is Mr. Clarkson’s first year of teaching. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. Outside of school, he enjoys golfing and exercising. Someday he would like to visit Greece, it is his wife’s dream vacation. Mr. Clarkson was inspired to become a teacher because of the impact and inspiration that teachers and coaches have had on him and his upbringing and development.
Congratulations, Mr. Clarkson! Thank you for everything you do for us!

This week, we are proud to recognize... Ms. Potter!

Ms. Potter teaches 7th grade language arts. She has been teaching for 35 years. Ms. Potter grew up in Warner, South Dakota. Outside of school, Ms. Potter enjoys writing poetry and plays. She loves to hike and sometimes gardening. She is ready to go visit her friends in Maine. Ms. Potter was inspired to become an educator by her mother, her mother introduced her to what it means to be a teacher and I discovered I enjoy it. Middle school is AWESOME!

We celebrated Homecoming 2026 at BFMS with some fun and games! Grade level relay races, tug of war, pep rally, and the parade!

This year we are going to do a Teacher of the Week Spotlight, where we celebrate an amazing educator or two who go above and beyond for our school every single day!

This week, we are proud to recognize... Mrs. Crago and Mrs. Boggs!
Mrs. Crago and Mrs. Boggs teach 6th grade special education.

Mrs. Crago has been teaching for 19 years. She grew up in Big Horn, Wyoming. Outside of school, Mrs. Crago enjoys gardening, reading, and kayaking. One day, she would love to visit England and learn how to surf.

Mrs. Boggs has been teaching for 10 years. She grew up in Crawford, Nebraska. Outside of school, Mrs. Boggs enjoys riding her motorcycle, floating down the river, playing piano, and family time. One day, she would love to visit Scotland and learn how to decorate cakes.

Congratulations, Mrs. Crago and Mrs. Boggs! Thank you for everything you do for us!

On September 11, the middle school students took turns attending the memorial set up at Herman Park. It was a great time of remembrance, reflection, and learning more about an important part of our country's history. Thank you to everyone who was a part of making this event happen!

Thank you, Mr. Kellen Willert, for speaking with our 6th & 7th grade classes last week to celebrate LAW DAY (May 1st). We enjoyed your stories & facts about being a lawyer, the US Constitution, and our rights & responsibilities as citizens.

Last week some of our 8th grade students were able to attend the iNSPiRE Engineering Event. They had fun participating in STEM activities and learning about STEM careers!

Join us Monday April 13th, for "A Night of Jazz" presented by Belle Fourche High and Middle School Jazz band!!

Last week, our 7th and 8th grade Student Council students were able to attend a Youth Leadership Conference in Rapid City. They learned about leadership, teamwork, and being a positive role model. The speaker encouraged them to make positive choice for themselves as well as how to encourage others to do the same.

Earlier this week some of our 7th and 8th grade students attended the Regional Science Fair. Congratulations to all the students who attended!!
