BFHS Senior - Kendal Millett - will be featured as part of the KEVN Black Hills FOX's Rising Start of the West scholarship contest Tuesday, March 2nd on The SIX and on Black Hills FOX News at 9:00 pm. She is one of the semi-finalists who will be seen through March 19th. Viewers go to www.blackhillsfox.com to watch and rate. One competitor from each week will then advance to the final round in May. The winner from that group will receive a $4,000 college scholarship.

Tuesday, Feb. 23rd - MS BBB @ Douglas There will be 2 games played at Douglas. The 7th grade game is at 4:15 pm. This game will be 5 quarters long. The first 4 are for the 7A players. The 5th quarter is for the 7B players. The 8th grade game will follow. Here are some Covid protocols sent to us from Douglas. We ask that everyone respects these as we are their guests. Concessions will not be available. Masks— All players not currently on the court as well as all coaches to wear masks during competition. We will ask that any fans please wear masks and social distance. Fan limits— Please only two guardians per player no students allowed of middle school age and older and students younger than middle school must sit with their parents.

Aiken has been a 3 sport (Football, Wrestling, and Shotgun Team) letter winner except for 1 year Shotgun was cancelled due to COVID 19 for high school career. In football his senior year he received All-Conference, Defensive Player of the Year, BH Pioneer Athlete of the Week, and was nominated for All-State. Aiken started wrestling when he was a freshman and he is currently ranked in the top 10 in the State for the HeavyWeight Division. He also received KOTA Athlete of the Week for wrestling. Aiken participates in multiple shooting disciplines. In shotgun he participates in trap, skeet, 5-stand, and sporting clays. His favorites are skeet and sporting clays. Aiken was a big part of getting the Bronc Bird Busters high school shotgun team going in Belle Fourche. He has received several awards on the High School Trap Team. His top award was placing 7th in trap in the Nation at the USA Clay Target National High School Competition in 2018 and he placed 13th in 2019. Some of the other awards he has received while on the team include 2nd in the State for Trap, 1st in State for Skeet and being named to the All State Team all in 2019. In 2018 he tied for 3rd at the state tournament and has always placed in the top in conference. Aiken is part of other shooting organizations like the ATA/AIM, Scholastic Clay Target and 4H in which he has received numerous awards as well. Aiken has been involved in 4-H since he was 8 years old. 4H shooting sports was one of the project areas he participated in. This is where he was introduced to the sport of shooting shotgun. Aiken not only shoots in the shotgun discipline, but also in Air Rifle, Air Pistol, .22 Rifle, and .22 Pistol. In 2018 he went to the National 4H Competition in Shotgun. He has received numerous awards in 4H shooting sports including 1st in .22 CMP and 1st in Skeet. When he was in junior high he won State in the Light Rifle Competition of the SD Jr High School Rodeo and competed in the Light Rifle Competition at the National Jr High School Rodeo for 2 years in a row. He is going to attend college at IA Central Community College in Fort Dodge, IA starting the Fall of 2021. He received a scholarship to shoot on their shotgun shooting sports team and is planning on obtaining his Associates Degree in Ag Business/Business Administration. When he is done with school his intentions are to come back and be part of the family buffalo ranch.

Saturday, January 23rd - G/BBB @ Bowman, ND Each rostered player will receive 2 passes / tickets. Fans will be able to stay for all 6 games if they would like to. Our mask mandate in North Dakota has been allowed to expire. We are still strongly encouraging fans to wear masks when physical distancing cannot happen and also when they first come into the school in the hall way.
